Buxton Crescent…
… I made it outside :-)
Not far, admittedly, but it was ‘out’.
My cheeks are red owing to the bitter cold.
I went out on a mission for polypockets (I hate to buy them but mixed up scuffed paperwork drives me mad. It’s no excuse really, but what do you do? Keep them forever and pass them on to the kids I suppose. Like all the Tupperware?).
But I brought back pikelets too, which are going down very nicely.
The Crescent is now a renovated 5 star hotel. I must have blipped it before. The architects have kept as many of the old features as possible, which includes the stone shown, which declared this part of the building as St Ann’s Hotel. Opposite is St Ann’s Well, is the fountain which pours out mineral water at a consistent 27 degrees. (On a day like today that feels almost good enough for a hot water bottle).
