Junior parkrun and a beautiful Gig row
Another fab day. The day started with Juniors where I volunteered as Marshal. It was A's 17th birthday and it was delightful to celebrate with him by giving cards and sharing sweets. The volunteers had a pre-run chat about hats, Daleks, Arsenal FC and new baby plans. S and L are off on a walking holiday to the Canary Islands, I am keen to find out how they get on. Maybe I can persuade G to go there too? We shall see.
Later I returned to the Quay for a Gig row on Victory. We had a beautiful row around the island and back. There was a full Spring tide, so we got wet feet as we climbed back onto the hard at the Quay, but that seemed not to matter as we all went to the Little Ship for a drink and chat about sailing in the Solent in our youth. Happy days.
