3304. Peruvian Chicken with Spicy Rice

Went for a walk down to the ferry terminal this morning to check on the ferries to Coralejo but unless you spend all day there it’s quite a lot more expensive to go over and there’s not enough to do in Coralejo itself to stay for 7 hours so we’ve decided not to bother this year.  

We came back and I made lunch which was Peruvian Chicken with Spicy Rice….it was delicious!

The chap came to put back a handle on our kitchen drawer in the villa after we found it broken in the drawer.  We are finding that this villa hasn’t been maintained that well since we were here last year.  I’ve added quite a few things to the kitchen, like knives and microwave steamers etc. but these things are all gone and a lot of the stuff left is a bit tatty.  They have replaced the fridge freezer, the microwave and the hob but the hob, which is only 3 months old has been scored on the surface, which is a real pity.  It’s not terrible, just a bit disappointing.  We are going to try an request another villa for next year and if we can’t change it then we will book with another owner for the following year as I can’t see that it will change over the next twelve months.

Our water just went off as we started to wash up but it’s back on now, apparently it’s been off three times today!
