Mono Monday chillin'

Literally!

I will be so happy when the car heater has been fixed. 10 minutes of full power heating on the windscreen, still icy. I'm not feeling too warm myself, very pretty patterns on the windscreen though.

Did the laundry, got that pegged out, did the housework, fed the birds, brought in the bins once the dustmen had been. Time to head off to Mum's after a stop off at the Coop for some provisions, incuding rice noodles for tonights dinner. None! Plan B.
Walked Indie, just managed to capture one of a pair of greater spotted woodpeckers through the branches but not clear enough for a Blip so kept snapping away in mono. The ground was still white & icy out of the sun, but a gorgeous bright blue sky. What a treat!! Plenty of action in the sky, a busy morning at Bristol & Exeter airports.
A chocolate twist & coffee with mum on our return. A look through a few photo albums including photos of the locals when Mum & Dad had the pub. I popped one on the village Spotted page last week, and all of a sudden there's conversation going on with folks that have grown up & moved away, folks still in the village, parents of folks in the village etc.  Great friendly banter, so I though I would look out some more. My next job. :-)
Mum's little finger is completely numb, so she had'nt realised she's cut the tip off when cutting her finger nails this morning. First Aid hat on .. Did Mum have any plasters ... Yep! Plenty! But they are obviously well past their sell by date as they did'nt stick. Another cupboard to blitz. Found 3 small ones, one of which did the job. Fed Indie. Arranged Mum's meal for later, then set off home.
Off to pick in the washing now, get that on the airer, prep veg for tonights soup, then it will be cider o'clock.
