Overton II v Liphook and Ripsley III

Seemed to be a bit of a struggle getting a full team together today, and as sonsnumberone and two couldn't be persuaded to get off their lazy backsides to play, my good friend Mr Tickle had his first call up.

We fielded first, and our bowlers bowled particularly well, and we bowled Overton out for 133. It was suggested that with his long arms Mr Tickle could field at first, second and third slip, but he soon showed that this wouldn't have been a particularly good idea!

Only 2 batsmen were needed as we reached the target in only 18 overs, with opener Harry scoring 106 not out from only 63 deliveries.

So no batting for Mr Tickle and I, but we both had a lovely afternoon in a beautiful English village setting. I so wish I had got into cricket 25 years ago.

But for this season - we have now played 5 and won 5, and are top of the league :-)
