Cardrona

On a calm, blue-sky day, we were on the Boundary Rider Track at about 1900m, walking the slopes of Cardrona Ski Field instead of skiing them.  The rocky terrain in summer tawny colours has an appeal of its own.  The snow-covered slopes of Mt Earnslaw can be seen on the horizon, far left.
