A mixed bag today
I have started reading this book which was a gift from my son at Xmas.
The dust jacket states
‘ This is a tale of loss and betrayal. Of unbridled arrogance and unchallenged ignorance. Of personal impunity, warped ideology and political incompetence.’
My kind of bedtime read - a horror story.
An over exposed extra but a follow up from 14th. Now the LTTs have started to flock in. Taken early this morning.
On the productive side I have continued to help Mrs C with ‘Operation Roman Temple’. Coming shortly is ‘Operation Roman Shield’.
It’s only 16th January and I have almost completed the first draft of the text for the next story book.
Before I bore you all to tears over the next few months here is the opener.
Chapter One
Fergus the squirrel sat perched on a tree branch, his tiny paws clasped together as he chattered to himself. "Oh, where could Siobhan be? It's been days since she disappeared," he wondered aloud. Fergus was a curious and adventurous squirrel, but his older sister Siobhan was always there to keep him out of trouble.
Ever since Oistin the Owl had flown to Ireland to be transformed into a human and save their beloved woods, things had been different. Siobhan was no where to be found. Oistin had become a hero, but he had also become a hermit, choosing to hide away in the Arden Woods. Fergus knew that Oistin's transformation had brought great change, but he couldn't help but miss the wise owl's presence in their lives.
Fergus was convinced that only Oistin could help bring Siobhan home to the woods. But he was sure that Oistin could only achieve this if he reverted back to being an owl. The problem for Fergus was that he wondered whether Oistin needed to revert back to an owl first or after he had found Siobhan.
