A little after Sunrise

Yesterday (Friday) was the Summer Solstice, but overcast skies put paid to any idea of an early morning blip at the official time of 6:04 am.

Tonight we can expect a perigee full moon as it is at its closest point. The phenomenon can make the moon appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than when it is farthest from The earth.

This is today's sunrise, a little late due to the hills and trees, blipped from the kitchen door just after 6:20 am. It was amazing just how hot the sun was at this early hour today.

It was probably the only time I saw the sun today.
