Mrs Tiggywinkle, in January?!
Hearing something moving about on the patio, I peeked out through the curtains and was shocked/surprised to see a very large hedgehog eating the bird food. It was already below freezing and going down to my -3 degrees tonight. What is a hedgehog doing out in this weather?! When I shone my torch on it, it didn’t run away, it froze then carried on eating, obviously desperate for food. Once it had finished and moved away I then topped up the saucer with cat bics (what I’d been putting out throughout autumn). Five mins later I peeked out again and the hedgehog had returned and was tucking into the cat biscuits. I shall keep putting out food from now on in the hope that it helps Mrs Tiggywinkle survive Winter...
(Difficult to take photos in the dark holding a torch in one hand, a couple more in extras.)
A day spent ploughing through paperwork and running up and downstairs. Dad still in bed, very off colour. I’ve cancelled tomorrow’s day care and postponed again meeting up with a friend in Bath. Mind you, I’m probably still not up to going out yet.
Thank you.
