Lydney Railway
The dreadful weather warnings that the Met Office put out yesterday caused us to postpone our trip up to North Wales, and so instead we went for a morning walk along the "other" side of the Severn, in Lydney.
Once we got home for lunch however we realised the threatened snowmageddon devastation was rather more local than had been advised... so now we're up at mum's for a few days. Today's blip however is from Lydney station platform...
We made the 220 miles up to the north coast of Wales in only three hours and twenty minutes, which was pretty good and makes me feel a midafternoon trip has a lot going for it next time.
