Raised bed

We took advantage of some dry weather to get the box for my new raised bed sited.
Our garden is on a slope so I had to dig out a lot of soil to get it level. This will be going back into the bed, along with some sand, horse manure and garden compost. It’s in a good sunny position so I will have another go with my strawberries. They were too much in the shade last year I think, and didn’t ripen satisfactorily. They should be out of reach of people with long noses too, I hope!
