The Carnedddau Range

I opened the blinds this morning to see snow on the distant Carneddau mountains. 

The Carneddau range has 19 peaks over 600m in height, of which seven are over 914m (3000 ft). These include Carnedd Llewelyn (centre of photo) which is the 3rd highest mountain in Eryri (Snowdonia).

I spent most of the day indoors waiting for a contractor (who didn't turn up), but managed a short 2km walk around the village in the late afternoon sunshine.

I took the main photo from home and submitted it to the BBC Weather Watch site. It featured as the background to the BBC Wales lunchtime weather forecast (see extra).
