Spuds U Like

A fine day with Al and Liz at Waltham Abbey. As has been customary at this time of year we went to the Clockhouse Nursery to buy seed potatoes and one or two other horticultural items. This time we’re trying Charlotte although who knows how they will turn out in our no dig beds.

As is also customary it was a day of good food and talk from coffee and biscuits on arrival, soup, cold meat and cheese for lunch and Thai curry and apple crumble for dinner. A very small glass of Malbec may have been tasted.

The journey home was fraught with 4 sets of roadworks being set out between Waltham Abbey and the Dartford Crossings with many changes of speed limit coming and going in rapid succession.
