Bassenthwaite Lake.
What a brilliant early morning. This is one of my favourite places and I was lucky to see the sun rise over the Fells behind Keswick. The light was gorgeous, highlighting stones and reeds. Frost made it crisp, but not even! A bonus was the frozen lake. I moved on to Portinscale and took the road to Grange. This road still had snow in places. As this road is under Catbells, sun doesn't reach all the road. After Grange I stopped at Kettlewell car park and here too Derwentwater was frozen. Here I was asked to take photos of a couple celebrating their first anniversary. All in a day's work.
