Meanwhile...

Back in Gainesville: A pair of beautiful Ground Doves have been frequenting our yard. I've seen them in the neighborhood but never before in our space. They are smaller and more timid than Mourning Doves. And even though I have always admired Mourning Doves, I really like the colorful beaks and more distinct markings on the chests and wings of these visitors. They seem pleased with the millet I toss out for them and I often see them at the bog, enjoying a sip or two of fresh water.
