Frozen
A frosty blue sky day. Just what I love in winter. Making the most of the beautiful weather we drove to Rodley Nature Reserve.
It was still -2C and the lakes were frozen over, so not many birds about.
We did however watch a kestrel which had perched on top of the owl box, and a buzzard landed in a bush to sit sunning itself.
I took some photos but too far away for a good shot. See extra collage.
The sunshine was so bright making the water and reeds glisten.
We also had a walk along the Leeds Liverpool canal which was also frozen. Decided to use the shot I took of MrC as my main blip, and have tagged it for Wide Wednesday but not sure it really covers the theme of ‘ People’.
Although we didn’t see many birds it was still enjoyable and so good to be out enjoying the sunshine.
We decided to call at the Beulah Bistro on the way home for a late lunch, and had some delicious spicy squash soup and a ham salad sandwich.
Got stuck into the kitchen when we got back and it is now all clear for our decorator to start tomorrow morning at 8am. We are now sat surrounded by pots and pans etc. etc.
I’m sure it will be worth it when it is finished.
