Heron my own again.

I only got one shot of this before it flew away.
Herons need around 500gms of fish per day to survive, and if in sub zero temperatures for more than a few days will usually die.
I've never before seen this small lake completely frozen over. Local dog walkers were relieved their dogs weren't jumping in, but equally concerned that they'd try, then fall through.
Extra: I had so many layers on that my camera bag straps had to be loosened. Toasty warm though.
