From Old to New

I've come up on to the mound of the old motte and bailey castle in Kendal  to research another new earth cache.   I have to look for  fossils on the obelisk and identify them .  Fossils in extra - who'd have thought. 

 I'm standing on the oldest castle and looking to the "newer" one on the hill opposite . I have blipped this view before and given you the history if you are interested.  Today has better light ,  less leaves and you can see the new castle ruins more clearly
