The Vale of Oxford
The spaniel had his annual health check first thing this morning. The vet says he is as fit as a fiddle for a dog of his age. He has a bit of arthritis but the medication seems to keep him pain free most days. To prove the point we had a quick three mile walk home from the vets and then did a nice long walk in the afternoon around and over Watlington Hill. The Vale of Oxford was still frosted and a bit of mist was starting to roll in as we came out of Lower Deans Woods. In the distance you can make out the profile of the Wittenham Clumps, the unusual beech topped rounded chalk hills next to the river Thames near Dorchester-on-Thames.
