Hailstones
Abstract and yet instantly recognisable... we didn't get any snow on the North Wales coast but we did get a heavy hailstorm in the night, and earlier this morning this was the block paving on the drive.
We made good time home after a nice lunch out at Trearddur Bay on Anglesey. In fact the hard part of the drive was entering the village - thirty minutes from the motorway junction to home... about three miles.
Apparently there's a major water leak at the top of the village near the reservoir tanks. Much moaning on the village forum, but I'd rather be waiting in a warm car than working on freezing cold water any day...
Glad to know mum's doing well living independently in her own home at the sprightly age of 87... but nice to be home too. ;-)
