Our Beautiful Boy

Our little grandson turned four in late October and has become quite a cute and clever boy. He was very late with his speech, but is doing very well now and has become quite articulate.   He has taught himself to read, he is fascinated by geography and can locate any country in the world on a map and often knows the capitals too. I recently asked if he liked something and he responded that he is "indifferent."  

He loves wearing overalls and happily goes to any hockey game, as long as he gets potato chips.  He also knows the make of every car on the road.  I think his ability to study and memorize will serve him well.  

His father (our son) was very similar.  When he was five, if you asked him to name all the baseball teams in the National or America Baseball Leagues, he could easily name them, but he also named them in the order of their standings on the day you were asking.  He checked the newspaper every morning. 

We are staying in an Air BnB apartment a few miles from them and he loves having a sleepover here on the weekends. We still have almost two more weeks here.  The weather is quite lovely and quite awful and cold at home so thats just another reason to be glad to be here.
