Pasty trials in Cornwall

I have made it my mission to uncover the finest pasty in Padstow. This was day 1. A lovely little number from Chough's bakery, an award-winning bakery that has featured on television. Verdict: firm pastry with a good bite, finely sliced vegetables, too little meat and lacking pepper - a pleasant, but not saliva-inducing opener. 3.5 out of 5.
