The Big Black Box

As you can see on the left handside of this shot is the new house which has just gone up. Looks like a big black box to me. Luckily when I am indoors I can't see it. The people next to me, it is another story. 

I took this shot this morning when it was around 27c and very windy. By the afternoon it reached 34c and still is 29c at the moment.. just after 6:30pm. It is still very windy. Tomorrow is supposed to be hotter. 

There have been two fires near Christchurch. They are both under control now. You will notice the hill in this shot are very dry now. Not long ago they were green. Here is what the hills looked like in October. 

Didn't do anything in the garden today because of the heat.
