Lost or abandoned ...
I walked past this toy dog and hoped, if a child lost this toy dog, that it is found - or re-homed.
I remember my niece, when she was about 5, lost her toy mouse. We found her in tears when we went to collect her from school. The whole class formed a search party and we did an organized sweep of the area. Challenging, as the toy mouse was the same size as a small mouse. We had to paused the search as the children needed to go home.
My niece, still weeping loudly, agreed to get in the car. As she sat recovering she noticed a lump in one of her socks. Hidden in her sock (for safety) was her toy mouse. The drive home was filled with laughter and happiness.
