Bridge Theatre: Guys and Dolls

Mum, Im, and I went for "dinner and a show": my mother had booked tickets for us to see Guys and Dolls, so Im and I booked the restaurant. The in-the-round production had some of the audience roaming around the stage area, chaperoned by period-costumed police officers, which was surprisingly un-intrusive and certainly contributed to the sense of city bustle, and the overall production was wonderfully involving, energetic, and enjoyable.
My photo shows the close-harmony (/barbershop) quartet that beckoned the audience back for the second act, and a tap dancer and compere contributed to the impression of being at an old cabaret; after the show, the standing members of the audience could stay for song and dance with some of the cast.
What fun!
Not all of the leads had fantastic voices (one was chaotically strident, and another rather timid), but it all worked well as an ensemble, and I'd certainly find it easy to recommend.
