A journey through books
One of the joys of going on holiday is being able to spend hours reading. I have been on quite a journey. I was half way through Melvin Bragg, which was interesting, then went to St Kilda, which was just beautiful. Such a great book. A story of a harsh and rugged life, but innocent and beautiful. Then on with Thé Future, which was one of the most thought- provoking books I have read for a long time and finally, I am in Virginia, with Demon Copperhead - a really gritty book, but am determined to read it, having discarded it originally. What a great journey and what a joy.
Melvin Bragg - Back in the day
The Lost Lights of St Kilda - Elisabeth Gifford
The Future - Naomi Alderman
Demon Copperhead - Barbara Kingsolver
