Sunshine on Porty before Isha

My 10am swim with the Bluetits was abandoned when I opened the blinds to a vista of rain and high winds. Somehow the thought of a scone and coffee in  Söderberg sounded so much more appealing. But what do you know, the clouds rolled back at 11am, the wind dropped and the sun made a valiant attempt to gain the upper hand, so much so that I phoned daughter#1 and we decided to brave the water just after midday. Another dipper with a water thermometer said the temperature was about 4° which is probably the coldest it has been when I have been in the sea. It was really exhilarating to frolic in the calm water, the more so since the next storm Isha is heading our way tomorrow and bringing more nasty weather. Naming these storms only seems to be encouraging them.

It was a long, cold, chittering bus journey home through a busy town , but even after that,  it was all worth it and so good to have my daughter’s company.
