Not A Pond Skater

There was about an inch of water on top of the pond ice this morning. That ice was still between 1 and 2 inches thick.
I attacked it and took some pictures - they are Here.

We headed out into the wilderness to The Wood Place where I bought some off-cuts and small burrs. There weren't as many burrs as I had hoped, but SWMBO was quite happy for me to get a couple of larger pieces. I was happy when the bill came to less than I expected.
I would love to be able to afford one of his huge chunks that go to making superb bits of furniture.
