Kingfisher

When I lived by the River Kelvin in Glasgow, I would sometimes see kingfishers. Now I only walk the river a couple of times a year when visiting, and hadn't seen one there. Talking to a local man, he said they were still about, so I was very happy to see this one emerge after a dive and perch near me as I stood on a footbridge. I watched and photographed it for some minutes as it dived and caught fish, oblivious to the many people crossing. The same helpful man told me he saw otters there too and I did get one on another day, my first urban otter, but no usable phto.
