‘First Find your parkrun - Again!’

parkrun cancellations were again aplenty today. Snow, ice, flooding - you mention it, they were all there! 

We thought our usual one, Edinburgh parkrun, along the foreshore, was safe, but no - just as we were about to leave, we discovered that they, too, had decided to cancel. The reason was a big patch of ice on the course, and with it being the start, no way of avoiding it and more participants than usual expected (over 500), it was deemed too hazardous to proceed.

So, with not much time left to get there, it had to be Portobello, where we had been less than three weeks earlier - on New Year's Day.  It’s a nice, friendly, sheltered three-lapper in Figgate Park, around a pond and up the little burn that runs into it. 
Lots of chat at the start, often quite serious-looking!
