A much quieter sight.

This is the same view I had on the same date last year.
The clouds are similar, the temperature is similar but the wind is much stronger.

The biggest difference today is the crowd, or rather the lack of it.

One year ago today it was day 36 of The Olympic Torch Relay and there were hundreds of people lining the road at 6.30 in the morning.

One of the most amazing days of my life is as fresh in my memory as it was then. Mrs. P wouldn't let me buy The Torch a card and a cake today for its birthday :)

I've run a 10k race today. Marathon training has started (this will be the 4th time I've started it this year!)
