Southern Alps

Last night we went out for a farewell supper in Wanaka.  We went out to a restaurant where, if we chose, we could catch our own salmon and have it prepared and cooked for us.  We decided we might get very hungry trying to get our own  so opted for a platter prepared different ways that someone else had caught - oh my, obsolutely delicious.
This morning we headed off for the west coast, travelling along the Haast pass through the great Southern Alps.  A beautiful drive, long and winding. We are staying the night in the Fox Glacier area (photo in extra).  2nd extra is of toilet doors in country cafe we stopped at for morning coffee, l felt a bit silly trying to explain to a couple why l was taking photos in the toilets!
