For a change today we decided to go inland and explore some of the little villages; a thing we haven’t really done for years. We headed out to Witchampton first - a small village near Blandford Forum. From there we wandered round several little villages and their churches. It was so lovely exploring.
We then went to Wimborne for a look in theMinster and for lunch.
Our last stop was at Winterborne Zelston where we tend to go each year to seethe snowdrops. We have many ‘Winterborne’ villages in Dorset, named because their small rivers only come above ground in the winter when there is more rainfall, hence the name ‘Winterborne’.
