Beetle (not the dog) Collecting...

...and a fabulous find.
Flynn has gone totally nutso about Beetles...he knows and has studied all about them...has lots of containers with special substrate (soil) for them and spent ages in the kitchen yesterday chopping up stuff for them to eat.
He put posted his need for Beetles onto our community FB page and got some hits saying where folk had found them recently...but beware of snakes....yikes!

Even though it was hotter than Hades we had to drive down to the coast to go Beetle hunting...he is looking especially for Rhino Beetles...they are BIG.
So Peter Flynnie and I were walking around with sticks like loons digging under leaves...looking up- into trees under rocks..... do you think we could find any....Peter and Flynn did find plenty of (not sure if they were snake or lizard) eggs though.

On our hunting however we did come across this fabulous sculpture...I was just about to say 'well it's not an Andy Scott but it sure looks like one and is really fabulous' ( for those that do not know Andy Scott is the guy to created the fabulous Kelpies in Scotland)...when I got up to the Name Plate it said Equus Aqua by -HEY HO- Andy Scott what a fabulous find.

With no Beetles we high tailed it to Tropical Fruit World to have a look around there...still not luck even though several were sighted just yesterday...we will have to go back at some stage soon.

Came home and had a lovely snooze in my chair and snored like a demon (apparently)..P reckoned that there were seismic readings over in the UK from them...ha! I don't believe him.
