Dog Rose

We finally managed to get out for a walk between the heavy showers. As we set of round the local lake we could hear the cracking of branches. Couldn't work out where they were breaking though. It was very windy.

The dog roses were looking lovely. I like they way the buds are so dark, but the petals are light when they open up.

As we walked along the A5 a car sped past at about 60mph (in a 30mph zone). Then we heard sirens, but it was an ambulance. A bit later a police car sped by with sirens blaring too. Don't know where they went to. Sadly nothing to do with the speeding car.
