Make do and mend.

A favourite jumper had a sleeve seam coming apart but not any more; mum's Sewing Kit of Wonder came to the rescue.

I've been to see the parents for Sunday lunch and took said jumper so I could stitch it back together while I was there as I knew the tools for the job would be in the Sewing Kit of Wonder. I did indeed find just the tools for the job and it seems these needles have had a very long tenure in the Sewing Kit of Wonder judging by the price. 

Sadly, none of it is any use to mum any more as the rheumatoid arthritis in her hands prevents even picking a up a mug by the handle these days, it's a two handed operation now. But, at least I was taught well and can take up mending duties!
