Slow cooking
My old slow cooker has finally given up the ghost - it came to me as a family heirloom so it's probably more than thirty years old. My new one is probably bigger than I need, but I picked it because I the pot goes on the stove so that I can sweat the veg and brown meat before it goes into slow mode. Having been at work yesterday, today has been a day of domestics - now I'm going to chill and read.
