Tucking in
There is something very touching about the way the young calf tucks herself under her mother's horn. I may have to come back and edit that, because I still haven't had a close enough look to see if the calf is a he or a she. I'm guessing she, since it's as gentle and placid as its mother, and the little bulls are often more boisterous.
I had a morning walk up Worsendale before the weather closed in. Now as I write this in the evening, it's very windy outside, though the full force of Storm Isha has presumably not yet arrived here. It could be a wild night. At least temperatures have warmed up, and our mostly unheated house is more tolerable than it was last week.
A busy week ahead.
