Reaching Out

A little bit of sunshine today, which had faded somewhat by the time I got out. However, it did provide some nice side-lighting on this fallen branch reaching out over the inlet. Even here the snow stuck to one side only and with the extreme cold, stayed there.

Extra: Testing The Waters. Not sure what this guy was up to, but he had a computer and a probe. Ice depth, snow composition, oxygen levels?
