Bad News

I had my appointment with the Specialist this afternoon who did my knee replacement. A lot of pus came out the wound today and he said he wants to operate tomorrow. Said that there could be a lot of infection there. I only have a tiny little hole in my knee. It has been getting sore over the past week and it hot to the touch. If the blood test shows I have a infection he will have to open up the whole knee and replace the plastic parts. If that happens I will have to be on IV antibiotics for a few weeks. 

The surgery will be done at the Christchurch public hospital as its in the middle of the city. It is all a bit of a shock. It was the specialists first day back from holiday and luckily I was first on his list today. He kept saying how sorry this had happened and I said it isn't his fault. Things happen.

 Everytime I go to Burwood Hospital I have seen these beautiful big Dahilas on the reception Desk. I asked today about them and was told a man who lives nearby shows them and all the ones that are not good enough to show he brings them into the hospital. They don't look very big in this collage... but they are very big.
