2024 Saturday — Robin & Cynthia

This was a wintry rainy January evening Mr. Fun & I will savor for a long, long time. What a night! What a feast! What a treat! and all in the wonder of their RV. Cynthia & Robin have the same attraction to Cayucos that we have so we get to see them several times a year.

This evening Cynthia served Chicken Veronique; deliciously accented with white grapes, also plump baked potatoes dribbled with Veronique sauce, crisp green salad with balsamic dressing, and warm buttered sourdough bread (somehow I missed getting a photo). Dessert was vanilla ice cream with cherry sauce on top. The entire feast was low in sodium.

And then the bonus treat of not only telling stories but Robin reading a story to us. Listening to a friend read aloud is a rare and treasured moment. They are "Forever Friends" and in retirement our paths are crisscrossing more often, so we did what we always do with them, lots of filling-in the blanks and learning more about each other.

Enjoyable moments, eternal moments, with two very gifted Jesus lovers. In their desire to nourish our bodies, they also nourished our souls. We are thankful and blessed.
