Across Kerrera

I spent today in Oban with my children visiting a friend of mine who I have know for ever. Great day catching up and walking around the town.

The weather was stormy but mild, a good day for blowing the cobwebs away she said and I agree.

This is the view from Battleship hill across the Isle of Kerrera, I had not been up here before despite living around this town for most of my life. Battleship hill was named because it is such a good lookout over the coast and there used to be a telescope here in the war to spot enemy ships approaching. If you look closely bottom left of the shot you can see Dunollie Castle which is a great place to visit if you in the area.
