'After the Storm' by Damian Lawlor

Storm Isha wreaked havoc last night and during today with its gale-force winds and heavy rain: lots of branches and twigs down, a garden bench blown over, recycling rubbish from the wheelie bin strewn far and wide, but the effect that 'hurt' the most was the power cut from midnight till lunchtime today.

I found out that the village library was up and running, so headed there mid-morning to recharge my phone and laptop, and was also served coffee and biscuits - a perk of being ex-staff!

I hear there's another storm due tomorrow...
