St Denys Church
St Denys is our local church other than St Isan (see https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3183842815046058457). It isn’t named after St Denis, the patron saint of Paris, but is a local corruption of Dionysius, the latin name used by St Isan. The church originated in the 6th century but the current building dates to 14th century with 19th and 20th century revisions and additions when Lysfaen village developed into a Victorian outer suburban of the the ever expanding Cardiff.
