Slow, slow worm.
This poor little fella has been in the wars. He looks as if he has had a run in with a cat, or perhaps a lawnmower. When we found him in our garden he was minus a substantial part of his tail. So we have been caring for him 'till he seems a little more recovered. His 'face' had been damaged too and as Slow Worms are usually nippy little critters, this one was decidedly tardy.
Now our legless lizard had shed a skin or two and is becoming more perky. We shall look after him/her for a little while yet, thn look forward to letting him/her go.
