Horse Chestnut

Out on site looking at trees again today. This Horse Chestnut has a provisional Tree Preservation Order on it. It also has something called Chestnut Leaf Miner. A moth that eats its leaves towards the end of the summer. However, it isn’t impacting on the trees health long term - phew. It’s a beautiful tree. Busy day in a very windy St Annes. Wasn’t dressed for a site visit but had to go out anyway. Had a long chat with Will tonight, mainly about his exams which continue at the end of the week.
