On the way home

Appointment with the surgeon today. X-ray showed that the ankle is still stabilized. Surgery at up for Thursday, will need plates and screws.  Apparently I really did a number on this poor ankle. The surgeon said it's not just fractured, it's shattered.  Oh my. I'll be glad to get the surgery over with.
