Lorries of Sri Lanka

This one is derelict but many of these still running and quite fearsome on the roads. Sri Lanka full of opportunity for the photographer of beauty in dereliction but I’m travelling with three others and I don’t think they’d appreciate multiple dereliction stops! Long journey yesterday from jungle and quiet, empty roads, people drying seeds and rice on the side of the road, up through Muslim and Tamil east coast which we haven’t seen before because of war, and now in Trincomalee, white sands, palm trees, big hotel. After a six hour drive, we are all looking forward to a very lazy day.
