Blustery Day

Despite the very wild night we decided to still go for our walk. There were a few trees down. This one we could easily walk under however, there was a bigger one we had to climb over.

We have had a power cut of sorts all day. Low voltage so some things working and some not. Very strange. Apparently they couldn’t trace the source so a helicopter was sent out late afternoon. A tree had fallen on a power cable. Once traced it was quickly repaired an power restored around 5:30 pm. (After Hubby had cooked some pasta and sauce on a little camping stove).

Still no internet and the power flickered off again as we were reading at bedtime.

We were able so see the following ‘must watch’ films on the DVD player.. A Star Is Born (Judy Garland) , 1984, Julie & Julia.
