Morning After
A message from young K at the back of midnight. He was over walking the pontoon at the height of Storm Isha and kindly rearranged a fender or two, so I trotted over in the morning to inspect his handiwork and thank him. And then along to Porty to see the son to hear his latest. Unfortunately he’s in a very single minded state of mind at the moment and I found it quite hard to get away. I’ll say no more.
Later I helped the daughter fetch her wee lovelies from the nursery before heading up to Everyman to see a preview screening of Zone of Interest. Maybe I’ve seen too many British films set in that WW2 era, the over-familiarity of everyone self consciously acting like radio announcers, so this was a tonic. This looked and felt the part. The ending - whoah - I must go and watch Mephisto again some day. Superb.
